2007  –  2026

After nearly twenty years, we have closed our doors.

What began in 2007 as a family passion grew into something we never could have imagined — chess clubs in schools, camps, libraries, and park districts across the country, and thousands of students who learned to sit down, think ahead, and play the game well.

Thank you to every student who showed up curious, to every family who drove them there, to the schools and program directors who made room for us, and to the teachers who carried “Chess for all!” into their own communities. You made this work a joy for two decades.

Chess America is no longer accepting registrations or scheduling new programs. The board is put away, but the game goes on — we hope you keep playing.
